A closer look at
the business of image.
The Brand Edit explores how businesses and professionals present themselves—and what their photographs communicate.
Published from Sarasota
The journal is published by SRQ Headshots, the photography studio led by Michael Devaney in Sarasota, Florida. Our subjects are brand identity, the visual language of different industries, and the craft behind professional imagery.
We look at those subjects through a photographer’s lens. An image has a composition, but it also has a job: introducing a person, explaining a workplace or giving a publication a point of view. This is a place to examine those decisions.
Editorial standards
Articles labeled “Perspective” contain editorial analysis and practical recommendations. They should not be read as survey findings or evidence of business results. External factual claims are linked to sources where relevant. Photographs are credited, and recognizable people shown in editorial images are not implied to endorse the article.
AI tools assist with research, drafting and publishing. Articles use a publication byline; a named individual byline is reserved for work that person has authored or approved. We do not invent interviews, client experiences, quotations or performance statistics.
Publication dates reflect when articles first appear. Substantial changes receive an updated date and, where necessary, a correction note. This publication is owned by SRQ Headshots and covers subjects related to its work.
